Thesis: Lavender Town was never scary by itself but more because of the hardware limitations and fanfiction theories.
The spookiest part about the town is that they seem to live in a crater.

Lavender town wasn't scary but I never liked to hang out there. The pokemon tower had a better music than the city, less uncomfortable.

The only thing that scared me about lavander town was the Ghost sprites.
Other than that I gave no fuck about the whole dead theme or the music or whatever else. I just disliked that damn smug ghost, which already stopped being scary in RFLG.

I mean, it's literally the Ghost Marowak. You probably have to catch it too, so it'd add a unique opportunity to add an A-Form to your team without needing/waiting until the GO Safari.
