No day/night, no berry growing, no evolving nat. dex Pokemon before getting it, shitty Pokedex navigation, and abilities didn't have overworld effects (so you couldn't hatch eggs faster). A step down from Ruby/Sapphire.

This was the worse thing about the remakes but i don’t remember gen 3 having day and night implanted at all.

FRLG is a good remake but HGSS did remakes the best.

If Gen 3 had day and night it would have been the absolute best generation.
It might be "cosmetic" but the immesion is multiplied by 10 with it alone, especially when you're young and play at night
