I don't think speed comes into play unless pikachu can OHKO eevee. I'm pretty sure Takedown + Quick Attack would be a clean 2hko on Pikachu that gets past the paralysis speed loss.

Except Pikachu also gets quick attack, so that doesn't really solve the battle.

Also don't forget pikachu gets the Light Ball for both Attack and Sp Attack boosts. Beega can safely get a 2HKO.

Did you completely miss the part where Let's Go Pikachu now learns Double Kick just by level up? It was shown by Treehouse gameplay. If you think the partner Eevee won't also learn coverage moves outside of its normal learnset you've got another thing coming.

Yeah, I'm actually disappointed that IVs and nattures make it into this game but abilities and held items don't and there's no breeding. Could have had a neat little competitive scene in this game but it's going to be way too tedious to grind a pokemon with the right nature and 5 perfect ivs but you know some autist fucking will and dominate.
