Do you really think they'd put something that graphic and controversial into a children's film? They never teased a Flying-type Eeveelution. This movie was an ad for LGPE. Ash has Pikachu, and the new female lead has Eevee. Pikachu and Eevee can't evolve. Pikachu doesn't want to evolve. Eevee didn't evolve in response.

We knew right away that there would not be a new Pokemon in this movie the moment Pokeshopper confirmed that there was no more "new Pokemon" merchandise after Zeraora.
