I'm not even sure how or if its possible for GF to receive feedback from fans, especially western fans.
BW was pretty much the pinnacle of the franchise as far as I'm concerned.
And even then there was still plenty to improve upon.
Gamefreak has always been SUUUUPER lazy as far as lore; GSC/HGSS are a great example of that. The plot was weak, but lore could have made up for it.
But.....nope.
This obsession where every region needs to be a brand new place disconnected from the previous locations is garbage.
DPPt and BW showed real progress and growth as far as plot/lore/ being new but continuing threads from old games
Too bad XY, ORAS, SMUSUM are dogshit
