>>36097714Typically, my style is to disassemble enemy teams with unusual bait and counter sets; things like HP Ice Scizor for Gliscor/Lando, and end up with a 2-3 pokemon advantage, then fall back to simple trades for the rest. I always run SOMETHING that can shit on stall, whether a choice tricker, something that can trap and set up, and so on.
Two of my favorite pokemon are Shedinja and Zoroark. Just having them on a team makes the other player play badly; With Shedinja, people are overly cautious with the pokemon that can actually hit it, and fight for hazard control WAY too hard. As an aside, it's a wonderful check for hyper-offense that can make set-up and choice pokemon cry. With Zoroark, you can make bold, suicidal plays with your pokemon, and actually survive and get into serious mindgames.
When I'm not playing on showdown, Baton trapping is another of my favorites. I actually get some serious mileage out of the dumb owl.
Sometimes I raid showderp and take good/disorienting sets.
>>36097890I do a good amount of this as well. I'm always tinkering with pokemon I feel have more potential than people give them credit for, and am figuring out how to squeeze out those few bits of viability; whether in nonstandard sets or team support.
