I don’t care about the anime, but it was a genius move to add them to yellow. Because otherwise team rocket has no members that aren’t faceless grunts in gen 1. (Other than Giovanni) So they become like the de facto executives of gen 1. Their presence in yellow (and lgpe) is better than anything they’ve done in the anime.
