You're saying there's more monster collecting games than VIDEOGAMES AS A WHOLE in the 90s? Cause that's the only reason you can claim the Sony dominating Nintendo argument isn't valid. And guess what, Nintendo would later outdo Sony in the 7th gen with the Wii and DS vastly outselling the PS3 and PSP respectively, then again with the 3DS and Vita, and then going back to Sony dominating with the PS4, another case of customer majority hopping brands. To claim that monster catching games had a bigger case of "oversaturation" than the biggest videogame industry competitors as a whole is beyond disingenuous.
