Pic unrelated? Dexnav wasn't a nice feature and they already vastly improved it by removing random encounters in LGPE.

If I remember correctly, these are the new features:
Poke Ride, Pelago, Z-moves, Rotomdex, Pokefinder, Battle Royale, SOS battles, Hyper Training, QR checker. If you count "old" new features than detailed IV checker, Refresh and Plaza as well.

I really like Poke Ride, Pelago and Pokefinder. I can surive without the first two (if I am given nice substitutes) but lack of Pokefinder will disappoint me greatly. Snap 2 when?

pelago is definitely fucked. shame, passive EV training was great if you didn't want to train the mon asap

plaza is probably gone, but maybe that's for the better. woudn't have been as bad if it wasn't meant to replace PSS

hyper training could go either way

Well pelago had passive ev training, and was also the most convenient way to grow berries the series has ever had, so there's no way it'll be back in gen 8

The best part of S/M was the totem boss fights. They were far more challenging and interesting than gym leaders, and the special buff aura is something that should have been introduced ages ago. It finally solved the problem of story-based battles being far lamer in practice then how they're presented in narrative.

So I fully expect the new games to abandon it and return to gen 1 style gym leader battles.

The Berry Pot was better. Pelago takes to long to access and the amount of berry spots just make it more time consuming. It would be better if Berries had more use, but they don't. There is really only a few that are actually useful without contests, and of the few that there are you only need 1 or 2 of them.
