SOS is a bitch and there's a lot of redundancy in places like most of Ula'ula island, but most of the new Pokemon are at least fairly easy to obtain and aren't that late with a few exceptions. Plus you have a fairly large dex. In Johto there's very little that's new that's easy to get.
DP Sinnoh is the worst anyway. Variety stinks in most areas, and a lot of mons are excruciating to get. Whether it's the honey tree RNG, or Spiritomb in general, or Hippopotas being very rare unless you catch lots of Unown, or the Great Marsh daily RNG bullshit, or Feebas, it's hard to get a lot of stuff worth using while every cave is infested with the same mons as ever.
