>>36110923I mean there are cases where it could kinda work, like a psychic type using meditate gets +2 instead of +1, but it would ultimately create more questions than it would solve: what would ghosts' "STAB" on stuff like destiny bond or grudge be? what does a STAB belly drum do differently? why would liepard get STAB on hone claws but not persian, when they're doing basically the exact same thing and there's no intuitive connection between the dark type and the act of honing claws orher than the move's type, that could have perfectly been normal type, just like mean look could perfectly be a dark type move?
