Pokémon you thought would end up being a different type than they were.
This little dude has a lot of white on him. I thought he would evolve into a Grass/Ice snowy owl.
I thought Lunala would be Ice too for the same reason. It looks like its body is made of ice, and the night represents the cold.

Another poster who likes to forget that the Pokémon franchise has been using colors to signify its elemental types since Day 1. As though the fact that something is a certain color ISN'T a valid reason to suspect it is a certain type, even though colors are consistently used to showcase that exact thing.

I was wishing it was the types on the site Grass/Flying,Fire/Ground, and Water/Fighting. Don't know why the types were in that order still. Thought pic related was Rock/Ice and I wondered why it wasn't getting vaporized by my fighting moves

Thought it was Rock/Ghost at first (didn't realize it was an evolution of Baltoy). The sprite looked faded so I assumed it was partially phased out like a ghost.

Since day 1? Well that's definitely not true, Staryu/Starmie isn't Blue, Voltorb/Electrode isn't yellow, Jynx isn't blue/white, Sandshrew isn't brown, Goldeen/Seaking isn't blue, Gloom/Vileplume isn't green, Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill isn't green, Drowzee/Hypno isn't purple and on and on.
Colour does not signify type.
