Sun and moon anime ends Ash goes back to Kanto but instead of him going on another journey we get a short anime on au Ash following him on his journey until gen 8 that would be a breat idea right ?

An AU Ash anime would basically be Pokemon Yellow: The Animation. I'd watch it.

The kanto saga (which we know will most likely happen to promote LGPE) will probably be similar to how it is now if it's to be a shorter, filler saga, Ash will stay in Pallet Town and hang around Oak's lab, with him going to other town/cities for random reasons but most of it takes place in Pallet. This way we get to see his older pokemon again, get some more development for them, I don't see a reason for why Ash would travel around Kanto for a third time.

I don't think they would just keep him in pallot people already don't like hiw he just stay on melemele all the time and with this new Ash they could do things they can't do with regular Ash

again, what reason would he have to travel around Kanto for a third time? There wouldn't be enough time between SM and a new series, SM doesn't have enough left to stretch it out for another year and a bit without most episodes being fillers.
