Feebas if loved and shown it's a beautiful strong Pokemon will reflect the sentiments in its evolution. Also P sure it's design is lamia inspired.

Venonat as discussed a million times was probably meant for Butterfree. Who really knows, it still works besides the fact it skips an obviously deserving mid stage evolution.
Snorunt to me is like a shaman fully immersing itself in the element thus dying and becoming an ice yokai of one of two types.
Remoraid a gun turns into a tank "artillery" while it could have just become another fish, these are Pokemon whose designs are influenced by a connection of ideas with a vague relation to their type and typical/expected pool of species. As an example Geodude could be called Geogun and turn into Octillery, thats the connection of ideas. However it does not progress in its original pool of species being rocks. HOWEVER you can clearly see that Alolan Geodude turns into a grenade launcher without even having the idea vaguely present in the first and second stages of evolution. Yet somehow, thats more accepted than a fish gun turning into an octopus cannon just because they retain the fat round expected shape.
