It's a fucking shame. Gen 5 was the only generation that brought back the feeling of playing Gen 1 again for me with all of the new pokemon.

Pretty sure the sages were more their own thing, hence why they follow N more then Ghetis. In B2W2 you find the one sage who has even started a shelter for pokemon that never returned to their original owners after BW in order to honor N's wishes.
