Also, imagine actually believing Nintendo would actually replace their new console less than two years into its cycle with a better version with an immense price reduction when the fucking thing is still selling well. The rocks in your brain must be rattling around pretty hard for you to be this fucking thick.

Hot tip: Unlike the Wii U, back when it aborted itself onto retail shelves in 2012, the Switch is actually doing quite well outselling the Wii U's lifetime sales in its first year. What's more, it's literally a joke to think Nintendo would slash a solid performer's price that much two years in when they didn't even slash the Wii U by that much when it was one foot in the grave. Back during 2013 when the company was seriously trying to put some color back into the corpses, they slashed the Wii U by $50. The Switch, if we're lucky, maybe gets dropped by $50 next year at some point, perhaps coincident with a major game release or bundle. But absolutely not $100, only a dullard would even think it.

And as far as refreshes go, Nintendo is a very consistent. Refreshes don't happen until much later in the cycle and often it's a strategic plan intended to boost flagging sales that just ends up doing nothing and being a waste of money for the dullards that bought into the hype. You are literally an empty-headed mouth breather.

Just so you know, Switch isn't really within the price range of 3DS, so making a dozen of revisions so they could sell more to families isn't exactly going to work. Not to mention how Switch is pretty much "perfect", as far its design is concerned. Making a bigger/smaller version will fuck up compatibility with the shit ton of accessories already available for it and its performance is limited by the battery, which is already at the limit of what batteries can achieve right now (fun fact: mobile hardware developers invest in developing energy saving algorithms instead of stronger batteries, because those are simply not viable). And more features can be added via OS updates anyway.

On a side note, it's always amusing to see /vp/ struggling to move to newer hardware.

Skipping LGPE, if Gen 8 is Alola v2 then I'm off this ride. I'll support other monster collecting franchises, YW and Digimon both have games coming to Switch and I will give them both an honest try. They can not be worse than the slop Gamefreak is serving out.
