I’ll agree that B/W could’ve been a lot better, as I’ve played through it completely, but I feel like I owe it to myself to actually play B2/W2. I had to skip it when it was released cause mommy wouldn’t buy it cause I didn’t have enough good boy points, but since I actually have the games and I have a DS Lite, I want to revisit it and see what I missed.

I’d still give it a try. It’s really a story you need to experience and feel for yourself. I’ve played through several times and the ending still fucking destroys me every time. It really is a masterpiece. As for B2/W2, it’s a mainline game. Some slight variation aside, if you’ve played one you’ve played them all, especially within a particular gen

I love both games, but Super fixed a lot of these gameplay issues that the originals had, and in general it feels like a more mechanically fluid and enjoyable experience

Yeah but I can’t be a true fan if I haven’t played them all. Plus, I bought them for a reason, you know? At this point, it’s more along the lines of ‘gamble and hope the new(ish) experience will be good’ or ‘stick to something you know will be good’ and I just don’t know which to choose :/

It’s a timesave of like 2-3 seconds at the very most if you’re accustomed to the Sky menus. And that minor improvement is outweighed by Super’s numerous mechanical flaws

Pressing X opens the main menu. Pressing X again opens the moves menu, regardless of where the cursor is. Pressing X in the moves menu works the same as pressing A.
You literally just press X. It's not that hard.

It’s not intuitive and creates problems for players of the prior games. Why not use B to push and nothing to switch? Anyway the switching mechanic in Sky provides an interesting strategic layer and never really bothered me

PMD Super is good but it doesn't match up to Sky, sorry.

>Link system makes getting specific Pokemon much harder since some can only be obtained by reaching milestones
>Pokemon can take days off randomly, meaning you need to have a B Team, and sometimes even a C Team because all your main guys chose to have a vacation

PSMD is 2nd place to Sky but Sky is overall a much better option for PMD fans.
