Normies are excited because it's the first time since the originals that GameFreak has explicitly pandered to them (only the Original 151, it's even easier than the originals and only has a few mechanics from later titles because their mongoloid brains can't handle anything too complex, instead of "tainting" their perfect region they made a near 1:1 remake of it in 3D, etc) in the form of a complete game rather than pandering to them with countless callbacks and gimmicks pertaining to said game.
