Honestly, Mega Evolution is a dumb mechanic. Game Freak should either have made real evolutions or rebalanced the Pokémon. These item-based super forms have really made the game’s meta weird.

It was good for bringing underused mons into the meta again, like beedrill and pinsir, but it makes no sense why only gen 1 and 3 starters got megas, and then shit like TTar and Garchomp got megas that make them worse competitively

They're (OU), which means "OU by technicality".
Their non-mega forms have OU usage rates even if their mega forms don't, but the mega forms can't be used in lower tiers so they're OU by technicality.

It was a good choice (high base HP), they just fucked it up. They needed to have it drop attack and speed so they could minmax it more, and give it Friend Guard instead of fucking Healer

Game Freak thought Audino was popular because people were constantly talking about it on social media and online. But they didn't realize that this was only because Audino is the easiest way to gain EXP in the Gen V games. As to why Gen V Pokemon didn't get Megas outside of Audino, it was probably because Game Freak thought none of them were particularly popular enough to get a Mega, and that many Gen V Pokemon were already powerful as they were. Even in ORAS, most Megas went to Gen III Pokemon and rightfully so.

Fuck that, plenty of Pokemon can function just fine with a 4x weakness and Mega Hydreigon can easily be one of them.
Just give it Mega Launcher or Sheer Force and leave it at that.

Hydreigon has base 105 Attack, not 110.
And Jesus Tittyfucking Christ that Ability is disgusting it's like Gen VI Parental Bond on steroids especially with the highest Special Attack stat in the game hell having a blank Ability slot with that spread is still going to be Ubers in a heartbeat Hydraic I'd call it Tricephaly personally is way too much overkill.
Just imagine running Charge Beam with that.
