I remember when the game first came out, we had threads. There was a Japanese name for the trope he was representing. Pretty sure it wasn't chunii or whatever.

Was probably cut story content linking the UBs to the people they're similar to (his being Buzzwole) in some kind of Interdream Zone story.

If the Pokémon can get dream forms from there, it stands to reason the people could as well. That's the only reason I can see they brought Burnet into it at all.

But they had to rush this anniversary game no one asked for out so what was probably a far more interesting story had to go.

Did you miss the Interdream Zone bit of the post? It obviously would been Pokémon based on what those people thought of themselves emerging into the real world like the Therian Formes did and Buzzwole lines up perfectly with Gladion.

Nah, that would've been too cliche and obvious because every series with monsters has basically done it, including Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon. Using the Interdream Zone would've been a better idea as it would've expanded on existing lore.

And again, they brought Burnet back for basically no reason as it stands. Most people likely never even brought Dream Radar so there was almost certainly a reason for her return that was dropped.
