- You can't battle gyms unless you show the guy at the entrance a pokemon which is strong against the gym's pokemon
- They haven't done any work to improve the models or animations for about 5 years now, even though many attack animations are laughably bad
- The map is a tile-for-tile copy of Gen 1, rather than a modernization
- They took out Gary Motherfucking Oak and replaced him with a 'friend' who is 'nice but gets scared easily'
- The shading is fucking ugly
