How is this any different than when you had to answer a quiz to battle Blaine back in Gen 1?

I'm assuming nobody here has ever played Gen 1, so by Gen 1, I mean the first generation, which are Pokemon games called Pokemon Red version, Pokemon Blue version, Pokemon Yellow version, and Pokemon Green version

That was one thing regulated to one gym only retard. They didn't ask you to bring in certain Pokemon before you could even take on the gym. You fucking retards and your defenses

People blow this way out of proportion.

You merely have to show a Grass or Water type to the guy at the door of Pewter Gym. You don't even need to keep it in your party if you don't want to use it.

this would have been better when hms were still a thing so i could easily access hm slaves without going all the way back to the nearest pc and replacing one of my team members for the entire dungeon just so i can push a couple rocks out of the way. But now that hms aren't a thing it's not something i see being useful for me.

What are you talking about? Putting something in the box autoheals it, it didn't in Gens 1 and 2 though.
The proper way to balance this is to just not let your Pokemon get healed when they're in your pocket box, but we know Gamefreak is just gonna give players a portable Pokecenter anyway.
