Worst reasoning I've ever seen by GF

What's gonna happen if it looks realistic and parents are concerned? They'll check what game they're playing, and see Pokemon.

Awful decisions, let's hope it doesn't continue on to 2019.

It doesn't even work because that's not the problem with LGPE's visuals. The problems are in the level design, Kanto was not designed for 3D graphics. The actual battle screenshots are a clear improvement over Sun and Moon with a better sense of scale for larger Pokémon, something I hope sticks around moving forward. Recreating Kanto faithfully without updating it is what's holding the games back visually. Hopefully when the next generation actually starts they'll design a region with the Switch in mind.

that makes no sense. The "hard" part about catching pokemon has always been the actual catching, not the battle. Aka, having to throw a ton of pokeballs to pokemon with low catch rates. They made it easier by removing the part of it that wasn't "difficult"

Does Masuda even know what in the fuck he is doing anymore, cause it REALLY does feel like they don't give a fuck about the franchise, they just care about the money they know they'll get even if the packaged actual shit in a game case.

Why do Gamefreak care so much about making new (braindead) fans and pandering to people who haven't played or supported the franchise since Red/Blue instead of the real fans and listening to what they want from the series.
I'm actually starting to get really turned off Pokemon, I barely even play it anymore.

No it didn't, Super Paper Mario had a dire, pathetic story and obnoxious writing. Both Sticker Star and Color Splash atleast have aspects in them that are superior to the first two(e.g. level design and out of battle gameplay and Color Splash's writing was some of the best in the series). Super Paper Mario did everything worse than any platformer Mario game, the only reason people like it is for very shallow reasons.

The original creators typically the ones actually willing to explore new ideas within the same IP. Rather than shitting out the same game with a slightly different story, like some sort of videogames Mc'donalds.

Even we are near to have almost 1K creatures, if you don't like to battles every single one of them, you don't like pokemon. The wild battles are rappresents one of the most important point this brand, and also is it rappresents the effort to complete the game. While I can understand developers performing mental gymnastics to justify their game being subpar in some way, seeing the same thing being done by the community is just a very sad sight. You raise a good argument, I just can't help but notice you are focusing on the visual element of the games. Improving graphics, or even drastically changing them, isn't the same as removing actual features and mechanics. All zeldas had themed dungeons with items you unlock to progress and use in said dungeon, this was a common staple until BoTW. Because of this OoT felt very similar to the top down versions, just way fucking visually better
As for Mario 64, it was still a platformer, but I will concede that the graphic change here DID change the mechanics because 2d and 3d platforming is very different. But the power up thing wasn't really as big as a feature as wild battles are to pokemon, in my opinion.

Battling wild pokemon is one of the most basic parts of a Pokemon game. It's the first thing they teach you! You can change how battles work, but you can't just remove them in favour of ball flinging.

Mario didn't need to be that different. The things in Super Mario 64 were experimenting with what 3D action games could do, not translating Mario's gameplay to a 3D plane which they could have. SM64 was more different to SMW than it needed to be because they weren't afraid to innovate.

In LGPE's its not as dramatic they've replaced one aspect of the gameplay(battling wild Pokemon) with a different type of gameplay(Go style Capturing) and adjusted the game in a similar way with wild Pokemon appearing on the map rather than random encounters. Saying it was removed is like saying they just removed dungeons with BOTW and not acknowledging that Shrines, Divine Beasts and a number of the overwold puzzles exist to take the place.

Super Paper Mario was my favorite Mario game until Odyssey. The story is engaging, the music is phenomenal, the characters actually develop, the gameplay is fun its own right as long as you don't get stuck comparing it to the first two. The issue here is that you're debating whether or not change is good or bad, when it can be either. In the case of SM64, it was good. In the case of BotW, some people think it was good, some think it was bad. For LGPE, the issue is not that they're changing something core about the game, but that they're making it worse. If the GO catching mechanics had been added to when you throw a ball but you STILL had to weaken them like normal, that would be change that adds more to the game, which then would have a very high chance of being good in the long run. But just removing battles completely so that they can add a fucking paper toss timing minigame is not a good change.

The story just inconsistent and poorly written. The Main villain doesn't learn anything and decides to be good only because what made him bad stopped being true, his henchmen switch sides from bad to good for no reason other than the villain stopped being evil. Lubvi sacrifices herself but is alive after the credits for no reason at all. Hell they even get the main Mario cast wrong as Luigi is portrayed as a brave no nonsense go-getter, Bowser's a creampuff who gives in really easily up and Peach for some reason has no patience.

Why is it important for a parents

I do understand kids these days, I've just also lived long enough to know they have crap taste, mostly because they don't know any better, they have no frame of reference.
I don't care how excited that 10yr old at church who always wants to talk to me about vidya gets about Granny, its not a good game. Its not even the best at its own premise. I'll listen to him ramble about it because the one thing I hated more than anything when young was getting dismissed just for being young and I don't want him to misinterpret my lack of interest in nearly everything he's ever played as disinterest in him or his opinions. I can't wait til he winds down so conversations become a back and forth instead of onesided exposition and I can show him real games.

in other words, if the game has more realistic graphics then EVERYTHING about the game has to be more realistic, and GF are too lazy to work harder

Also if the pokemon don't look cartoony then you run into the same old problem of "cock fighting" and animal violence (note how the anime turned most attacks into laser beams or floating laser claws/fangs to avoid this)

I don't believe the reasoning tho. This feels like an excuse since Pokemon is known by everyone and the box shows the ratings and the game. A game could easily hide its more mature themes like that killer teddy bear game.
The art style also doesn't excuse the lack of polish in models, textures, animations, and scenery. Especially when Pokemon Stadium, that has only a few less Pokemon/forms, checks off the animations and scenery without debate.
This also doesn't excuse them cutting corners like with copy and pasting Aerodactyl's model in the Museum and not bothering to even give it a new pose.

Technically, generation 7 did bomb. It's currently the lowest selling generation and both games have solid marginally worse than others in the series. The problem is, I doubt Game Freak will seriously consider anything they're doing when that still translated into $900m in their pocket. Maybe if LGPE totally bombs, but Masuda is a shitbrain at this point who overruled his team on the decision to do everything wrong with LGPE in the first place. He said it himself, it was a controversial decision in the company, but he's the director and he gets his way.
