Sonic Team isn't even able to recreate the original Sonic games properly. They can't even understand what made them good, and they believe (or at least want to convince us that) the boost and classic Generations/Forces are improvements.
Game Freak on the other hand isn't incompetent, they're just disappointing. They're making Let's go because they know it will give them money. Sonic Team just gambles instead.
>>36154549There was nothing wrong with Shadow in SA2, the problems began when, at first, they brought him back and didn't know what to do with him (Shadow's game), and later on when they decided to disregard the original lore, getting rid of his backstory (2006, Boom, Forces). Same goes for Knuckles, except the problems began in Heroes, or even SA2.
