>>36161657It can be stressful at times and some games are more conducive to nuzlockes than others.
For example, Nuzlocking Colosseum or Gale of Darkness is way harder than nuzlocking ORAS.
However, the best part about Nuzlockes is that you can grow to like a pokemon you may never have thought twice about before when you have to catch them for the route and use them. Gen 2's good because you have static encounters like the red gyarados, sudowoodo, and the kanto snorlax.
Also, I'd recommend three clauses outside of the three rules
>>36161692 said for convenience sake:
1. Duplicates Clause- Basically if you run into a pokemon you've already caught as a first encounter, you can run or kill it and get something else. This is optional in the sense that you can waive it for a route and recapture something that may have died, though that's generally frowned upon.
2. Species clause- Same as duplicates clause, but involves the evolved form of something you have. If you caught a pidgey, you don't have to catch a pidgeotto once it starts showing up all over the later routes.
3. Shiny clause- This one's just for posterity, but if you encounter a shiny pokemon, you can catch it no strings attached.
