This would happen if someone at Game Freak would have an idea of making Elite Four use weakass type like Bug.

If that's the case then their strongest Pokémon shouldn't even be a bug type. Make it a poison / dark type instead.

What are the four weakest types?

I don't know what the fourth could be. Feels pretty arguable. I'm not speaking in terms of Gen 1 though.

Bug as a type is one of the weakest still. It would pass the "decent" line had it not been for Fairy cucking it for no reason.

Is there a RB ROMhack out there like this?
>Keeps Special as one stat
>Keeps types universally physical or special
>Fixes Psychic's immunity to Ghost
>Adds more Bug, Ghost, and Dragon moves
>Increases difficulty
>Fixes many bugs in the game (the technical kind, not the type)
>Removes wrap abuse but keeps the busted crit calcs
>Maybe adds a few moveset buffs but very little stat buffs if any at all
I feel like this would be really cool.

Once Butterfree is knocked out, the rest of his Pokemon would be unable do do much (or anything at all in Pinsir and Scyther's case) against Gastly, Haunter, or Gengar.

And I just remembered that Bug-type was super effective on Poison-type in Generation I. Thus, Anthony's second and third Pokemon could do decent damage to the Gengar line.

In Red and Blue every Elite Four member used at Least one Pokémon outside of his or her type.

I always thought it would be cool if Gen I had a bug specialist who has been losing to the Elite Four before you got there. I thought he should have two Scythers and Two Pinsers. Every time you lose to the Elite 4 you would fight him and he would see you as a comrad.

Psychic is a bit like dragon, the type itself isn't that great but because it's often use on good pokemon it's hard to call it a bad type.

Unless you really get unlucky with double team, it wouldnt be that bad. Swords dance doesnt affect slash's damage in gen 1 because crits dont take stat alterations into consideration, good or bad.

Remember that the "stronger" trainers in Gen 1 had "good" ai where they would use a type-advantageous move every turn even if it didn't do damage. I think Agatha was actually the only one in the Pokemon League without "good" ai, though.

OP you forget that when you get a crit in gen 1 it negates the effects of moves like swords dance so Scyther's only attacking move being slash isn't a good idea.
