You may be underestimating just how autistic a Pokémon-themed wedding is. It’s one thing to have a hobby, it’s another to insist that your wedding be themed around it. That could definitely give anyone second thoughts about what they’re getting into.

I have a good friend that I could see doing this. Him and his gf share an apartment and ... well, there's nothing in that place that isn't Nintendo related. The man owns every Amiibo (and they proudly display it). They have commissioned portraits of themselves with their favorite Pokémon hanging up as soon as you walk in. I HAVE SEEN THEIR BEDROOM. THEIR BED IS IN THE SHAPE OF A GIANT SNORLAX I KID NOT (this one I'm slightly jelly of).

These people are madly in love. The point is, if a chick would even agree to a Pokémon themed wedding, chances are she's just as autistic about nerd shit, and is a perfect match for other's retardation.
