I like both, but festival plaza offers free items and shit, so I don't mind it

Also, I think they tried nostalgia fagging it up for gen 5 players cause this is more or less just the join avenue

Except in Frontier rental you get your team and go straight in, but the plaza version involves playing the lotto and hoping that the game actually offers you Pokemon that aren't 20 levels below the opponent.

This is a good theory. It makes me mad they never took advantage of 2 screens to their full potential. Even HG/SS which gets a lot of praise is just a menu and a giant ass run button that just needed to be an option in the config menu.

The first points aren't really accurate. The plaza is accessible at any time using the touch screen, and it hardly feels like the plaza is distant from the rest of the game.

The feel of a constantly connected world makes the PSS great but apart from that I find it a little overrated. Battle Spot, GTS and Wonder Trade are just as easy to access in the plaza and that's all I really care about, trading with random passerbys in the PSS got old pretty fast since there were lots of kids who had completely different ideas of value.

I have no idea. Something must've given them the idea to try to be Join Avenue, and I don't know really know how popular Join Avenue is. I do know it's a colossal mistake to lock junk behind how many Facebook friends you can amass.

Wasn't the game was always online so you didn't need to get connect everytime you needed to trade/gts/battle? PSS was overall way better, not that FP is so bad but PSS has probably the pinacle.

It wasn't always online, but making it online was just a button press away and it could work while you were still playing the main game. It didn't require a separate entity.

Why not both? in-game area your character teleports to wherever even from the start where you can see and interact with other characters that are players also walking around and shit.

Make it a big giant pokemon city with 5 pokemon centers and have it change sizes, if 100 players are there is a small city if over 10000 are there is a giant city region size.

ORAS had a god-tier bottom screen though. It was basically the usefulness of the X and Y bottom screen but also with the Pokenav, which was a lot better than the original. I spent hundreds of hours in OR shiny hunting, trading, and trying in vein to climb the ranked battle ladder. I can't believe it came out almost four years ago, where did the time go
