>>36187292Palpitoad. Aside from the fact that this is probably the latest instance of Ash catching a Pokemon that was not spoiled beforehand (it surprised me and many viewers when we first saw this), Ash rarely used Palpitoad at all. Ash only had Palpitoad on screen for NINE episodes. NINE!
1) Debut episode where it was caught
2-5) The four Club Battle episodes, where it was only used twice (against Burgundy's Stoutland and a COTD's Darumaka)
6) It was used against Elesa, defeating Zebstrika but losing to Emolga.
7) It was used against Roxie, quickly losing to Garbodor.
8) It was used against Stephan, tying with his Zebstrika in a quick match.
9) The last episode of the series, where all of Ash's Unova Pokemon, Pikachu, and Charizard appeared.
There was actually a 36 episode gap in between Palpitoad's penultimate and final episode appearances. There was also a 34 episode gap between Palpitoad being used in those 2 gym battles.
I'm glad Ash caught Palpitoad but he barely used it.
