For the people that don't like Venusaur, would you like it with the flower either removed or shifted? I don't like it (I like Ivysaur for the record), but I think it looks nice without the leaf on its head. If the flower were rotated like 45 degrees so it stopped looking like it had a hat, I'd probably like it a lot more. Still prefer spots to warts though.

The flower isn't on its head, it's on its back. And the problem isn't the flower. The problem is that it's an ugly-ass flat toad-thing covered in warts, whereas at least Bulbasaur and Ivysaur are sort of cute.

Honestly it's just regular fauna.
Even in the gen it's debuted in,exeggutor had it beat in typing stats and design.

I would have preferred it if Venusaur had been a bit sleeker (guy is too fat for fucking 80 speed),dropped the warts, and had maybe some vines or anything more menacing on his back rather than just a flower and some leaves. Poor guy looks like a chunky physical attacker.

I don’t get why you guys dislike the warts. It’s not a slimy-skinned, long-legged aquatic frog like Greninja, so making it more toad-like made more sense to me.

For me, just because animals have certain attributes in real life doesn't mean they look good, and you can either omit them or include them but interpret them artistically to make them look aesthetic. For instance, while I'm not the biggest fan of Seismitoad in general, the warts interpretation on it looks much nicer I find than the basic pimply appearance Venusaur has.

Also, Exeggutor was better than Venusaur in Gen1, but not anymore since Gen2.
