So with Let's Go around the corner, it would be a good idea for Gamefreak to bring back the PWT sometime during Gen 8. With how easy it is to reuse 3D models, they would only have to make 3D models for Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova leaders/champions, with Sinnoh practically confirmed for a remake.

Yes, it would always have been a good idea to bring back PWT - actually absolutly every game after gen V should have had it.

Not that anon, but creating models takes a lot more time than those sprites.
The sprites were of lower quality than the gen 4 games, and the animations are just tweened.

RPG game devs have to make models for hundreds of monsters AND make a fuckhuge map which all are hundreds of times more detailed than pokemon models

its their job as devs, don't excuse them. 700 models is NOTHING

They would have to make new Kanto models because of the jarring art style difference. Also no one in the Kalos League has a battle model so they'd need new ones, too.

how many racing games with 1000+ models are in the 3ds
also pokemon models have drastically different animations(amie/refresh reactions, physical attack, special attack, status moves, idle battle animation, battle entry) unlike cars which could mostly be the same model just with a different texture.

Frankly the World Tour only happened at all because they only had to make 10 new sprites for the Hoenn characters, everything else was already there. Even presuming with a Sinnoh remake that's not a stone's throw away.

car models are a lot more complex than you think, you have to model interiors and many games have collision damage, you have have to program physics which pokemon games don't even have. don't joke dude

Let's say for the sake of argument they used Leaders representative of HGSS, ORAS, BW1 and 2, X/Y and assuming the structure isn't limited to Gym Leaders and E4 for this region due to number of trials, Sun/Moon.

You're talking about at least 80 characters to model or retexture and that's not considering costume designs if any are to be updated.

I'd love seeing this again, Sun/Moon gave us hints of how they could make battle models a bit more expressive, especially with those freeze-frame poses everyone does.

I'd also like a Battle Royal dome with said roster as well.

GF doesnt do models themselves. Creatures inc makes the models.

Models for PWT isnt anny issue. GF would have to just request models for all characters from gen 1-6 (7 already has them) which isnt that hard since we're talking about less than 100 characters. Compare this to over 800 mons + forms

Not to mention it would be wise to have these models for future games if they ever needed them

But hey its GF we're talking about
