>>36195964I, too, deeply enjoy listening to the various compositions Pokemon has to offer each gen. Admittedly, with each gen getting shittier and shittier, the music, as well as the Pokegirls, are the only real thing I look forward to nowadays. Very sad. I shall humor you, human, and give you my thoughts on the OSTs you posted.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiCpFkybzeISinnoh had a very good Gym Leader battle theme, in fact, it's probably my favorite. Not only does it have a "This is going to be challenging" ambience, but it also encapulates the struggle of taking down a top trainer e.g. gym leader. It has excitement and drama. Maylene is waifu.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j4sfjIXTA0Moving from mountainous cold, we arrive in the Hoenn region. A laid back region with a mellow adventurous feel. This adventure, this wander... you can feel it within this theme. Yes, it's not as serious as Sinnoh's, but it still manages to feel "fun" albeit "challenging." Roxanne's leggings hnggggg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrnRrSpTz20I don't remember much of this theme, or even what town it is, or even where that town was because I steamrolled through B2/W2 since I hate beating the same game twice (B1/W1). Still, this theme makes me feel like time has advanced. Technology improves, hardships come and go and we move on, looking to a brighter future.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWKur5qwdeQThis theme has a somewhat "panicked" ambiance behind it. But I also feel it gives the fight against the legendary it's due for being a tough opponent. I do believe that Generation V had the best score, which is summed up in my next song review.

This is, by far, my favorite Elite Four Theme to date. It really gives the sense that your shit's about to be slapped. The tone of this melody gives off danger and urgency. This theme has several layers: the aforementioned "dread", but also hope.
