Because watching another person play pokemon of all things isn't enjoyable. Pokemon and JRPGs on the whole are on the lowest tiers of "being entertaining to watch". They're more games you need to play yourself. If these poketubers played some other kind of game, chances are it would be far more interesting of a watch.

Steer clear when youtubers play Pokemon and they put "Pokemon Sun and Moon play-through" as if they're not only playing a single version. Most dumbass thing ever. You're only playing Sun you cunt, so put "Pokemon Sun play-through". Also avoid videos when the channel clickbaits legendary pokemon in the thumbnail.
