They're certainly good games but except Gen 7 they're not better than the main series as a whole.

Easier than the second one but still pretty damn good. Can't go wrong with a game where Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes Black Dragon are part of the villain team.
Also did the island thing better than Alola, but that's not saying much.

Absolutely based. Have played the second one over 5 times and the third about 3 times. Awesome regions and environment and I really dig the ranger thing. The story was somewhat lacking though

I used to grab 2 of my DS consoles and play the co-op temple Arceus mission with myself (just to unlock the path routes, only captured with my main game)
