OP here wowie I thought this thread would die horribly
Anyway here's my totally-not-a-Hollow-Knight-reference Gym
>Type Specialty
Bug
>Gym Puzzle
Wandering through several small interconnected areas to find three trainers to open up the door to the Gym Leader. There's a wierdass terrain effect that boosts the power of Bug moves and sharply boosts Attack and Speed of Pokemon with the Wonder Guard ability. Pokemon with Speed Boost deal extra Poison type damage.
>The Gym Trainers
-Beast Herrah: Galvantula, Vespiquen, Ariados, Araquanid
-Watcher Lurien: Venomoth, Vivillion, Butterfree, Crustle
-Teacher Monomon: Jellicent, Scizor, Volbeat, Illumise
>The Gym Leader
A suprisingly short fellow wearing a mask and a cloak. He never speaks, but he appears to be pretty nice. He teams up with the player at one point.
>Their Team
Their Trainer class is "Vessel" and they're fought in the double battle format
-Forretress, Sturdy Lv. 35 (Stealth Rock, Struggle Bug, Reflect, )
-Araquanid, Water Bubble, Damp Rock Lv. 35 (Rain Dance, Water Pulse, Icy Wind, Leech Life)
-Leavanny, Swarm Lv. 36 (Fell Stinger, Leaf Blade, Slash, Aerial Ace)
-Accelgor, Unburden, Sitrus Berry Lv. 36 (Struggle Bug, Rain Dance, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb)
-Ninjask, Speed Boost, Sitrus Berry Lv. 38 (X-Scissor, Aerial Ace, Substitute, Swords Dance)
-Shedinja, Wonder Guard, Focus Sash Lv. 39 (Phantom Force, X-Scissor, Night Slash, Confuse Ray)
But the Gym ain't done yet! The Leader takes you to this odd teleporter thingy, which takes you to a very bright area. Walk to the edge and you'll be asked to challenge a powerful Pokemon. If yes, you're face-to-face with a Volcarona, nicknamed Radiance. Her stats are all boosted by one, like a Totem.
-Radiance (Volcarona), Flame Body, Lum Berry Lv. 42 (Incinerate, Struggle Bug, Sunny Day, Giga Drain)
After beating Radiance, you get the Badge
