On one hand, i'm sad that this can't learn aurora veil, it could make a good hail setter for low tiers since A-Ninetales is in OU. Combine that with a swallow movepool and lame stats
On the other hand, Aurorus probably has the strongest STAB Blizzard i've ever seen.

Most shitmons are just fine for getting through the game and only taper off into uselessness towards the end. I recently strengthed my way through a nuzlocke randomised rom of Emerald with Aipom, which was a great experience.

The best way to use your most beloved shitmon is playthough. Since Pokemon is not really a hard game you get the pleasure of running over otherwise stronger opponents. That and in Smogon's lower and alternative tiers they can be pretty fun to. OP posted a damn good choice so I'll post this cutie instead.

Absolutely fucked shit up with a level 80+ Azumarill in an Emerald run (I was a kid and didn’t really understand the concept of some Pokes being better than others). Hydro Pump made me feel like a badass. I also had a Lv100 Sceptile which is by far the worst gen 3 starter

Pikachu is cute and friendly, but still cool. It can be liked by both boys and girls. Ok, boys still are going to prefer (or pretend to prefer) Charizard, but they won't have to avoid the entire franchise because of pink.

Boys are always the sticking point when it comes to marketing.
