Honestly, considering how Spike Chunsoft criticized the whole concept of repeating things over and over with DRv3, how they're trying to keep things fresh with completely new IPs (Zanki Zero, Fire Pro Wrestling World) and are much more public about it now, I don't really expect a game to come soon, though it could be interesting to see something on Switch.
It's also worth mentioning the release dates of all the PMD titles:
>Rescue Team: November 17, 2005>Time/Darkness: September 13, 2007>Explorers of Sky: April 18, 2009>Wiiware: August 4, 2009>Gates to Infinity: November 23, 2012>Super: September 17, 2015Except for Wiiware, released the same year as Sky, most PMD titles were released ~2-3 years apart, so we're past that point. Either they're going a different route and making them whenever they feel it's ready, or ended it off with Super, the game with more references and fan-service than any of the past entries, bringing the series together.

Machop's one of the worse Pokemon to use, since its moves are mostly offense-based, but in PMD said moves don't have range. If you're running solo, Earthquake's a good move to have, and Flamethrower's ranged. Wide Slash hits multiple enemies and is typeless, which makes it pretty useful, and Brick Break is STAB and bypasses Reflect.
You'll have some trouble building a good moveset early on, since all of those are TM moves. Early on, Attract TM is great and can be bought for cheap near the start of the game, but later on you should be able to 1-2 shot enemies, so it stops being useful after some time.
