The problem with Klefki is not the concept behind it but the design itself, course for most of us that are already familiar with it is probably cute, it did grew on some of us but you can't deny it could have been a better attempt, for someone unfamiliar with the design, seeing for the first impression on someone it feels like of the most dumb designs ever, objectmons in general aren't that well received anyway but at least is not excuse to make such simplistic or not much more elaborated design.
