Pokemon would just be an additional means for those with power to maintain their position. Undesirables would be deprived of such dangerous weapons. The humans in the pokemon world are much nicer than us.
But assuming I'm the only real-life-like human to enter the pokemon world, I would probably try to help create life-extension/anti-aging technology, since death is still sad to most people and life would actually be easily worth living in that world.
