Why was the UI in Gen 5 so different? I can't put it into words, but it feels completely different from every other generation, all of which have some sort of visual consistency between them. The sleek, modern, tech-like aesthetic while cool doesn't really fit Pokemon all that much. It would fit a Digimon game much better.
