>>36220305The neck on the middle stage is much improved, but the rest is garbage.
>>36224396>This Fakemon has way too much going on. Unless it is a chimera or chimera-like and advertised as such, it doesn't need feathers, fur, scales(?), horns, some kind of stinger(?), etc.It doesn't have fur, scales or a stinger. Have you guys ever seen a stinger? What do you think a stinger is?
> Try to strike a balance between "cool" and function. Every appendage needs to serve a purpose. Does this Pokemon live or hunt in a subaquatic environment? Alter the tail in such a way that allows for swimming and nix the wings which would only way it down. It's an amphibious mammal with a shark tail. Obviously the tail and fins are good for swimming. The wings let it fly, because it's a sphinx, but are also basically big fins to swim with. The horns let it hunt and attack, both from above and below to spear enemies. None of it is superfluous aside from the talons on the wings, which I was always iffy on.
>Also, while color-coding Pokemon based on type is a point of contention among fans, I think the colors make or break this design in particular. While the blue attempts to invoke the water type, there's a host of physical traits that seems to clash with that aspect. Combined with yellow, the wings give off a heavenly vibe (think Zeus). It also invokes the Electric type. It's gold, not yellow. And even if it was yellow your argument here is inconsistent. Either color carries enough weight to show the typing or it doesn't.
>It's also odd seeing a flying type suddenly become fighting type and suddenly gain HUGE-ASS wings when they were previously unnecessary. In that case, the wings are superfluous. That's stupid. There are already several pokemon with wings that aren't Flying type. Beedrill, Volcarona, Venomoth, Scizor, Volbeat/Illumise, Dustox, Shedinja, Vikavolt, Ribombee, Buzzwole, M-Gyarados, M-Absol, Hydreigon, Latias/Latios, Palkia, Giratina, Druddigon, Reshiram, Zekrom...
