I would fear this but Masuda is the one pushing that kind of interacting with your Pokemon so it should be safe. The main concern I'd have would be that they somehow expand on it to make it awful, or make it mandatory to use.

That at least makes some kinda sense, as neat as it is. Maybe it'll be like refresh being an upgraded, less frenchie version of Amie and we'll get something less Alola flavored that fills a similar role?
