>>36246501Like, I LOVE every "bullet point" of her character. She's not proud, would rather deescalate conflicts than win them, and generally just strips away all the perceived "values" of being a Pokemon trainer and would rather just chill with her animal friends. It makes her shock at the bad guy's callousness much more genuine and lets all the returning characters build her up because of who they are without getting themselves "bested" by her in the process. That is how you write an abrupt sequel story.
Her pluck doesn't even win the day- "That scheme to break my bubble barrier would surely have worked- had you been a typical trainer with stronger Pokemon!"Hmm, I was going to say I wanted to like her more than I did, but I guess I do! Forgot she was in GSC too, that's good. First time through, yes, I have some spoilers here and there through the internet but it's mostly blind!
And can we have more chapters that are just the Pokemon messing around with no dialogue? PLEASE?
>>ShippingYes that would make sense. It treads the fine line between "What did this story not do that I wanted?" and "What do I want this story TO DO FOR ME?", and the later is a lot more personal.
>>But aren't they ALL original characters?Yes.
