Another is needing exposure to a separate Pokemon species, but I feel it falls under the same category. But what about Pokemon that evolve through just being traded?
I think we ought to ask then is what are the main things that happen to traded Pokemon? It's probably not exposure to the computer transfer system, since you also get them through hand to hand trades and in the wild. The only other thing that happens to the Pokemon is that they leave you, so, it's probably a stress factor then. The "pain of loss", if we want to get super fucking anime about it.
