How do I stop being autistic and caring about natures/stats in single player

Just don’t read then once you catch the pokemon. Single player is easy enough to beat with a single pokemon and unevolved pokemon, it makes no difference to sperg half an hour for a 10% boost in one stat.

I dont care up to the point that they literally have the most hindering natures, which has been very often recently.

Think about it in terms of RP instead of mechanics. Imagine your Pokemon as corresponding to its nature and how a Lonely Chikorita would look and act vs a Impish Chikorita.

Then it starts being frustrating for you that all your Pokemon "have" to be Adamant/Jolly/Calm/Timid.

As a literal autist heavily into competitive, I've never cared what a playthrough team's natures etc. are. I'm happy when they're good but I don't go out of the way to force it.

Instead of grinding for perfect natures, just find ones that aren’t completely hindering. That should save you time.

Why contain it? Let it spill over into single player and even roleplay. Let the eggs pile up in the daycare while you search for Adamant 6IV. Constantly have an EV checking site open in the background so you can ensure your perfect 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe EV spread (because 252 Spe in single player makes you too frail). In the end they'll beg you to avoid 6-0ing every champion from now on and will be forced to add a hard mode specifically for people like you.

Making the game difficult by pretending it's a potato sack race where you're the only one with a potato sack is only as fun as you're willing to suspend your desire to win by your own means. Instead play the game as a means of optimization. Make the game your bitch then have /vp/ ree at you when you complain it was too easy.

lol its impossible for me. I tried not caring when I played OR. and every damn time a member on myteam fainted I kept thinking to it was because of IV's and nature....and the worst part is....its kinda true. Having a 31 in attack instead of 15 or having a neutral nature can be the difference between an opponent surviving with a sliver of life left, getting a crit and killing you.

I still go for good IV's in the pokemon I use out of principle. Also it makes it eaiser if i'm trying to breed and for whatever reason need a pokemon that i've raised as a parent. Hell, I still finding myself digging up pokemon I bred back in Platinum and using them for parents.

Isn't that, like, a gen 7 thing? No one's playing gen 7, anon.
Having said that, I REALLY wish that Pokemon Reborn and Pokemon Rejuvenation had IV training. Those are games where it actually makes sense to have good IVs, yet they don't let you have it.
