Hitmontop gets great abilities and moves, though. Intimidate makes it even better defensively, Technician makes it even better offensively, and moves like Fake Out, Mach Punch, and Sucker Punch make its speed less of an issue.

Well, I mean all of the Hitmons have 110 base Special Defense... How bulky would this one be?

Not that anyone would think hitmonchan and hitmonlee are related if they didn't share a common prevo, but to this day hitmontop still feels way more disconnected from both of them. It doesn't look either as a tyrogue evo or a chan/lee equal. If the beta hitmontop is anything to go by I would assume they just made it up to prevent a game crash if your tyrogue's atk and defense are equal.

I've been wanting a female "Hitmon" line for a while. Had a few different ideas:

Idea #1
>Basic Stage: Amazance
>Little "kid" Amazon warrior Pokemon
>Pure Fighting-type w/ balanced stats
>Split evolution with 3 different Pokemon
>All 3 evolutions share some visual similarities, such as all of them wearing a girdle and all of them having some sort of headgear

>Att>SpAtt @ lv. 25
>Evolves into Dartemis
>Full grown Amazon warrior wearing armor
>One wrist/arm is flared out into a shield, while the other has a dart/lance attached at the wrist which she uses to fight
>Steel/Fighting physical sweeper

>SpAtt>Att @ lv. 25
>Evolves into Circerus
>"Sorceress" with huge hands and long legs
>Fights using her magically charged palms and sometimes feet
>Dark/Fighting bulky special attacker

>Speed>Attk+SpAtt @ lv25

>A flying harpy with a falconer's hood head covering and sharp talons
>Fights with powerful kicks from her feet and blinding speed using her wings
>Flying/Fighting speedy physical glass cannon

Idea #2
>not as fleshed out
>starts as a female "Asian" martial artist, with Chun Li style ribbons in her hair and a kicking stance
>Pure Fighting-type with balanced stats
>Evolves based on other Pokemon in party
>Split evo 1: Dark/Fighting female bosuzaku (there's a name for them I forget)
>Split evo 2: Fairy/Fighting female "it just gets bigger" evolution
>Split evo 3: Steel/Fighting female samurai that fights with a spear (there's also a name for these I forget)
