i wish Tajiri would come back, i just love his direction for the game, just a (mostly) aimless adventure with your pokemon. I ain't saying they should remove any sorft of plot but it shouldn't be the main focus

I said this once and I'll say it again.
Masuda is pretty competent when it comes to creating a great base for game, he just needs the help of a second person for that base to achieve its full potential. Like a writer with an actually good editor.
Just get him to co-direct a game with any of the three guys that follow him in the picture.

Ohmori is the bane of this franchise and he looks like a sociopath in that pic.

Pokemon's proven it can do story and lore just fine, but only when it's in the form of documented past events or basic shit (ergo, not getting in the way of your adventure).
