>>36281063>There’s very little atmosphere or sense of wonder to be had in SuperWell I on the other hand found it to be the same old whimsical, wholesome and cheesy pokeyman mystery dungeon experience. As usual it had a sense of adventure about it and the finale was an emotional rollercoaster, with the great soundtrack elevating the whole deal.
>every time the story tries to be meaningful or build character in some way it’s interrupted by le irreverent funni gagThat's just straight-up incorrect, besides that I don't see what's so egregious about having a bit of levity in a cheesy JRPG story aimed at children.
>Also maybe it’s the music or design but each dungeon in Explorers feels unique and like its own part of a journeyIf you're trying to tell me that the music in Super wasn't fucking great we must fight to the death.
>The dungeons in Super don’t stand out from one another. They’re just levels, not locations of their own.You could say this about pretty much every Pokeyman Mystery Dungeon game if you want to be like that. Super handled its dungeons just like the previous games for the most part, I really don't see how it's notably different in that regard.
how about we just agree to disagree
