>>36280573Alright well I think the character limit on posts is 2000 characters so I won't bring up every issue right here (because again, there are several threads on the front page that raise the same points I would because these are universally regarded as flaws).
One thing I can immediately think of that doesn't get brought up here would be progression. LGPE has dumbed down the mechanics of the game, and there's maybe a dozen points I could make on how they've gone about this.
Sun and Moon followed the same format as the games previous and didn't really remove any mechanics, but suffered and suffered HARD from constant interruptions to make sure things were never too difficult or to make sure you weren't lost or to make sure you had enough items and made absolutely sure to give you everything you could ever want or need to take on whatever three-Pokemon boss trainer was on the next route.
How is Gen 8 going to include the LGPE audience into this? Obviously Gamefreak isn't stupid enough to throw its own audience under the bus, so how are the tutorials going to be in Gen 8? How low is the difficulty going to be in order to ensure that LGPE fans don't struggle too hard with it? How are they going to explain the reintroduction of mechanics like held items?
You can say I'm looking too far ahead here, but LGPE being shit doesn't affect me. What does affect me is how LGPE affects the next actual games.
