Stab in the dark what does anyone have a 6 IV ditto. I've been trying for ages to make a good Weavile only to make one that had perfect IVs in every stat and find out icicle crash is an egg move. And it's just taking the wind out of my sails for breeding.

Alternatively I'm always up for a Battle too

But you already have a perfect parent (your Weavile) so it should be way easier to rebreed, also no need for the perfect stats, can't see you using the SpA stat on a Weavile so 5 perfect should suffice.

Also if on XY you can try and get a Ditto Friend Safari, those have 3 guaranteed perfect IVs and are unlimited, alternatively in USUM you get 5 Dittos of good natures and 2 perfect IVs each so you can breed to pefection there.
Also you can just Wonder Trade for a bit, get something mildly decent, get your 12 perfect parents (someone post that pic) and you cover everything breedable on the game. This for you >>36284153 too.

I actually may have those in my Pokebank, but I've been away for so long I'm not sure.
It'll be annoying to have to rebreed perfect parents to trade up, but that's Game Freak and their hatred of patches for you.
Honestly, I should be able to send Pokemon backwards if they don't know any new moves, just like gen 2.

There's a video on YT of someone messing with the coding and moving mons backwards to see how they interact with past games and they pretty much go unscathed so yeah those flags that won't let you take back an untouched pokémon are bullshit. But like I said, just get some decent stuff from Wonder Trade and start from there, 3IVd mons come faster than one might expect.

After beating the game, there's a particular NPC who will turn any imperfect stats on a Pokemon to 31 if it's at level 100 and you have a Bottle Cap/Gold Bottle Cap to pay him for his services.

It is. I have so many Shinies as far back as the GBA games that I can now transfer over and use.

When IVs are passed down, only the original values will be inherited. Hyper Training won't change anything in terms of breeding.

Cart and Showdown also play differently.
Cart doesn't have things like the Sleep Clause.
I also prefer to play on cart, too, but I enjoy breeding and raising my Pokemon prior.

Alola is undeveloped country (even less so than Johto), trials are basically gyms anyway. By end of SM/USUM they start to develop their own league, so Gym are likely to follow in the future.

Well there would have to be sequel, not remake, since remake would still have same ol undeveloped Alola. Speaking of the league though, kinda disappointed how little you saw of certain characters (especially in USUM) with Ryuki, Molayne, Nani, and Kahili. It's a pretty small scale game, so it's especially strange how limited some character interactions were. Ryuki is especially obscure challenger too, haven't even encountered the guy due to him being random battle spawn.

I guess it comes down to where everyone lives. If you're in the EU you might find that you're out of luck if we're going by EST. What's that said I don't think it should be impossible you can even include a calendar in the OP for when we do things. Like September is coming up so establish something for say the 15th. Which would give everyone enough lead time to see if thread hand put a team together. I've never used Citra, can people on Citra play with people on cart? I just think it'd be cool to post some funny replays online or stream. Not of me because I'm terrible but it still be a fun thing

We can let it run for the weekend and have everyone vote for their favorite badge and then whatever day we sit will be the day we can show up and have some battles. Everyone creates a team centered around that badge and we can see who most deserves to be that gym leader. Which is a flamboyant way of saying monotype team battle. I'm hoping it works out.

It's generation 7s biggest most glaring flaw. Game freak really wanted to characterize everyone but did it in the laziest way possible IE text dumps around every corner. Gen 7 actually has a lot of really weird decisions. Especially if you play previous games.

They'll only leave you alone after post-game, but hopefully you'll keep your sanity. For comparison, I rushed the game because of reasons, and it still took me around 15 hours to finish it all, just because of those cutscenes. An average Pokémon game when rushed doesn't take nearly as long

This may seem weird, but I wish there was MORE character events and better development. Not exactly story-required, but just as side-content to discover. Hau, for example, is with you the whole time but you barely learn or bond with him, unlike say with Silver or Barry despite how much more brief their encounters are. Hell Hau's change to be "hardened" just didn't feel organic. Similar thing with Gladion, he should've been more interactive during 2nd+3rd island to give more impact to his ending (like the time he kept buying out all the hotel rooms). Guzma and Lusamine got alot of their development and screentime cut out in the last island for some goddamn reason, the whole UB invasion in general really got swept under rug.

That said, the side-events we DO have are really neat.

They just needed to find a better way to interact with people other than 5 minute long text dumps. I will say that Sun and Moon has far stronger characters than pretty much every other Pokemon game. Importance on the "almost" as there's still unobtainable stuff like different ball gen 7 starters, Passimian HA, apricorn pumpkaboo, bergmite, spritzee, etc.

Lanturn is actually bad. Who would use electric moves outside of volt switch? Top mons would probably be rotom formes, helioisk, alolachu, alolem, galvantula, the megas, vikavolt, oriocorio. Magnezone can't hit well with its STABs. Lanturn might actually do some water absorb stuff with dealing with rotom-w. Alolem is the ONLY rock setter. Rotom formes avoid Earthquake. All of them except Frost and Fan seem good.

I already have mons prepared, I have some shitmons too, other untraied ones, the multis are rare from what I've seen and I personally don't mind who joins, could battle with an Ekans and a Bibarel but the point is battling, some light battling does wonders to the soul. I sometimes go on Free Battles for hours as that reminds me of the DP Poké Revolution era, when you could battle Darkrais all day and still don't give a damn as long as you could get one hit in with a Numel or something.

I can't speak for everyone, but I assume the goal is to just have battles. Don't undersell yourself, multi battles is a shit fest and the only way to get better is to battle. I have 2 teams of six prepared, but people do put stuff together on the fly. Have you played here before? You should battle as our 4th if you're interested.

That's really unfortunate.
I had something similar happen back in gen 3.
I also lost everything resetting my Y version when I meant to reset X before I had Pokebank, so I understand the feels.

30-31 is a small enough difference that you'll occasionally see people go for a 30 in their attacking stat just for a specific Hidden Power.
0-31 is a different story.

Well here's a personal story I like to call a tale of 2 Gengars. I made my first Gengar and raised it to level 51. It had a nature that boosted speed and I maxed its speed evs giving it a speed stat of 134.

I noticed I was getting outsped and bopped often and it turned out I had almost 0 speed ivs. So I made a second Gengar this time ensuring my ivs were good. Once again my nature boosted speed and at lv 50 my speed was 144. A much better number.
